Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Is there a quick start guide for the Photo Book software?
Under the Photo Books product tab, there is a “How It Works” tab that you can click to get to the quick start guide. There is also a complete User Guide available for download.
Does a page count as one side or both sides?
Just as if you were reading a book each sheet has two sides and each side is called a page. That is why when you add a page, you are required to add two pages.
How big can my BAP !t Photo Book be?
We offer several sizes. The largest has pages that are 12 inches by 12 inches (Square). Other sizes include a Portrait 8.5 in. x 11 in book, a Landscape 11 in. x 8.5 in. book, a small square 8 in. x 8 in. book and a small landscape 8.5 in. x 5.5 in. book.
All our books are sized by the pages, the outside dimensions of our hardcover books will be slightly larger.
How do I get great looking pictures in my photo book?
This can be a very detailed response or a much simpler response. We will stick with the simpler response and see if that helps. Good photographs are often in the eye of the beholder and include the subject of the photo, lighting, resolution and other factors. Quality images will generally produce a quality photo book.
We highly recommend that your digital pictures provide a resolution of at least 200 dots per inch (dpi), but preferably above 300 dpi. If you have a low resolution camera or scanner that provides you with a 640 x 480 picture, then you should keep that photo below 3.2 in. x 2.4 in. to maintain a resolution above 200 dpi. Today, most digital cameras today provide much higher resolution pictures than our example.
When checking a small Canon camera, there is a setting for 640x480 pictures but the highest resolution setting provides 3072x2304 resolution. The result of using the highest resolution setting is that you will use up your camera’s memory faster and will end up shooting less pictures on the same memory card, but you can print high quality photo book pictures that are nearly 10 in. x 8 in. at 300 dpi resolution. You will notice the difference if you want large pictures in your photo book.
